Capcade’s product development team in Novi Sad is growing and we are looking for a DevOps Engineer. You will be part of a self-organized agile team that is working on our FinTech product which is shaping how financial transactions are sourced, negotiated and executed. 


We need you to help us build a better product by having the freedom to impact all stages of development - from idea, through development to delivery. As the product is our responsibility, we are happy to be able to choose the technology that is best suited to the needs of the product. Your ideas, decisions and skills will matter and will make an impact on our product and the company itself. 


Within our working environment we have a flat team structure, no middle management, communication that is direct and transparent between all team members. In addition, we have an in-house product management team, so there is no communication overhead.


Duties and responsibilities

As ​​a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet Capcade needs. 

Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely.


  • Monitor the health and stability of the environments
  • Automate the development, testing, and integration of software releases/fixes
  • Strive for an effective and efficient collaboration between development, operations and quality assurance teams
  • Analyze production errors to define and create tools that help mitigate problems
  • Participate in all phases of application lifecycle including configuration and release management
  • Ensure smooth operations of production, development environments and support in resolving incidents in close collaboration with teams and projects
  • Show analytical and methodical approach to solving complex problems
  • Working closely with stakeholders on analyzing and prioritizing requirements
  • Transforming requirements into epics and user stories
  • Write a software for building cloud infrastructure


Requirements and qualifications

  • Experience in System Administration - Linux/Windows OS
  • Experience with networks (LAN, WAN)
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Bash or other languages.
  • Experience with Git and Source Controls
  • Experience with CI/CD processes as well as some of the tools (Jenkins, CircleCI or similar tool)
  • One or more automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform)
  • Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Docker - creating Docker images and containers; Kubernetes
  • Web server configuration (Apache, nginx)
  • Database configuration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
